Sorry, students...there will not be school at Finley-Sharon today, thanks to our lovely winter weather. Take this time to read a book, watch some Science You Tube videos, start an art project, do some Yoga, and experiment in the kitchen. And don't forget to clean your room. See you all on Monday!
Due to deteriorating weather & road conditions, we will be dismissing at 1:30pm today, with buses running shortly after. There are no afternoon practices or activities today, including Afterschool Club.
It's very exciting that our VoAg department's eggs are hatching! Everyone loves to see the baby chicks!
Some of the Finley-Sharon Juniors & Seniors are in Washington, DC this week, attending Close-Up. Mr. Jeff Larson is accompanying them. Today, they visited the Capital. They have also visited Mt. Vernon and will be headed to New York City at the end of the week.
On April 13th, the Juniors and History teacher, Mr. Tyler Gustin, visited the Oscar Zero Missile Alert Facility near Cooperstown, to learn about North Dakota's part in the greater cold war, and how we served a greater purpose in the country than most other regions/states. The students enjoyed the tour and were able to see the inner workings of the missile command center, and learn about the daily lives of the missiliers who were stationed there. The group was also treated to lunch at Pizza Ranch, thanks to this field trip being sponsored by the Griggs-Steele Empowerment Zone. Students L-R are Emmy Hasbargen, Damien Evenson, Layne Anderson, Craig Anderson, Brooks Braun, & Dusty Moore.
